SUMMARY:Historical Society of Fairfax County Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Come hear historian Mary Lipsey share the little-known story of Dr. William Christmas\, one of America’s early aviation pioneers and the first American to fly after the Wright Brothers. Christmas built and tested his aircraft in Fairfax Station\, where he made aviation history with an unusual design: wings that flapped like a bird’s. Books about Dr. Christmas and other local history titles will be available for purchase by a donation to benefit the Historical Society of Fairfax County.  \n\n\n\nCo-Sponsored by the Society and the Friends of the Virginia Room. \n\n\n\nCity of Fairfax Regional Library Meeting Room 101A and 101B
