Susan Hellman is an architectural historian and a direct descendant of the Quakers who founded the free labor community at Woodlawn. She retired from the Historic Preservation Division of the City of Alexandria Department of Planning & Zoning. On the 31st, she will be giving a presentation titled, “The Quaker Transformation of Woodlawn Plantation.”
