Richard MacMaster, an expert on George Mason and author or co-author of many books, was the society’s guest speaker at this September event. At George Mason University’s Fenwick Library, MacMaster addressed the group about his newest book, The Five George Masons: Patriots and Planters of Virginia and Maryland. He was accompanied by Dr. George Oberle–historian, librarian, and professor at GMU–who is a longtime member of the society and scholar of George Mason IV.
